A. Welding advantages: Welding is labor-intensive, with high welding efficiency. Depending on the size of the product, multiple welds can also be made simultaneously, with each welding time ranging from 3 to 5 seconds.



B. Welding precautions: The solder pad needs to be filled with sufficient amount of tin, and the tin content does not need to be too thick. Generally, the tin content of the non window type FPC is about 0.1 thick, and the tin content of the FPC is 0.2-0.3 thick. If there is an FPC with a through hole, it is between the first two. Of course, the final effect needs to be adjusted on site.

FPC cable automatic welding process:



Step 1: Manual loading. Manually place the product offline on the feeding tray, and place the loaded tray on the fixture on the right side of the machine.



Step 2: Start the button. Start the cylinder for manual operation and start feeding.



Step 3: Cylinder feeding. One material tray can be placed on both sides of the fixture, in a one in one out feeding mode. When the unprocessed material tray is sent to the welding position, the processed material tray is sent to the upper and lower material positions.



Step 4: Process a plate of material.



Step 5: After completing the welding of a plate of material, reset the X, Y, and Z axes to the original point.



Step 6: Manual cutting and loading. Simultaneously, without taking up time. Enter the next cycle.



Key points for FPC cable welding processing:



1. Visual photography: After the cylinder feeding is in place, the servo moves to the visual starting point, CCD takes photos, and moves to the next product until the first row of products is photographed. After that, the X-axis moves to the next row, and this cycle continues until all products are photographed.



2. Spot tin/spray tin: After taking a photo, spot tin or spray tin along the opposite visual path. Servo alignment, Z-axis descent point tin, Z-axis reset, cycle to the next point, complete one product movement to the next, until one row is completed and then move up to the previous row, cycle until all products are tin coated.



3. Laser welding: After completing the soldering process, weld along the opposite path of the soldering process. Similar to point tin, cycle through the welding of all products.



FPC cable welding process operation:



FPC cable welding instructions: The FPC pad needs to be facing the PCB pad in order to weld and secure; A small amount of tin should be included in the welding inventory to facilitate subsequent welding. If the tin content is insufficient, it will lead to poor welding; When there is too much tin, it can also lead to the possibility of tin overflow, making the solder joint unattractive. Controlling the amount of tin in the solder pad is a key point of the welding process. If a through hole process can be performed on the FPC pad, subsequent welding will be better and easier to weld. Insert the fixture into the product and support the welding surface flat.
