Introduction to Welding Matters for FPC Cable Arrays

FPC cable is a group of connecting wires that can be bent to a certain extent. FPC flexible circuit boards can be divided into many types, such as FPC antennas, FPC touch screens, FPC capacitive screens, etc. FPC cable is one of them. The function of FPC cable is to connect two related parts or products. Nowadays, many products use flat cables, and due to their flexibility, FPC flat cables have been used in many products such as printers, mobile phones, and laptops.



Precautions for FPC cable welding: The solder pad needs to be filled with sufficient tin, and the tin content does not need to be too thick. Generally, the tin content of the non window type FPC is about 0.1 thick, while the tin content of the window type FPC is 0.2-0.3 thick. If there is an FPC with a through hole between the first two, the final effect will need to be adjusted according to the site.



The welding process of FPC cable: Step 1: Place the product onto the fixture and align it in place; Step 2: Press both hands to start welding; Step 3: Rotate the turntable to the welding position and wait for the pressure head to press down; Step 4: Press down the welding head and start the pressure head to generate heat; Step 5: Wait for the welding to be completed and return to the first step.
